Accounting Lead BPO | San Pedro Sula

Objetive: We are looking for a proactive, high-ownership Accounting Lead to take full charge of our financial operations. In the initial phase, you will be the sole person responsible for the day-to-day accounting, tax, and reporting tasks. As the company scales, you will be responsible for building, hiring, and leading the accounting and payroll teams. This is a "player-coach" role for someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves today to lead the department tomorrow.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of accounting experience, covering bookkeeping to complex tax compliance.
  • Strong expertise in local tax regulations, VAT recovery, and transfer pricing.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems implementation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred.
  • Proactive, independent, and with a builder mindset and leadership potential.


Key Responsibilities:

Phase 1 – Hands-on Execution

  • Manage full-cycle accounting (entries, reconciliations, closings).
  • Oversee treasury operations (payments, cash flow, liquidity).
  • Handle tax compliance and reporting.
  • Act as main contact for audits.
  • Lead systems setup and automation.

Phase 2 – Process & Strategy

  • Design and implement internal controls.
  • Lead budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Optimize and standardize accounting processes.

Phase 3 – Leadership (Future)

  • Build and lead the accounting team.
  • Delegate and supervise operations.
  • Develop talent and ensure compliance.
